As Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that elevate guest experiences while maximizing whine club growth, retail sales, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all Tasting Rom and Wine Club operations for South Coast Winery Resort & Spa and Carter Estate Winery and Resort.
- Develop strategies to increase wine club membership, retention, and positive net growth.
- Drive tasting room sales, retail performance, and overall profitability.
- Create memorable guest and member experiences that build brand loyalty.
- Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing leadership teams.
- Design and implement innovative Wine Club programming, member events, and exclusive experiences.
- Partner with Marketing to execute promotions, member communications, and seasonal campaigns.
- Analyze sales trends, KPIs, and operational reports to identify opportunities for growth.
- Oversee budgets, forecasting, inventory controls, and department performance.
- Build strong relationships within the local community and wine industry while serving as an ambassador for both brands.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4+ years of progressive leadership experience in winery operations, hospitality, luxury retail, or wine club management.
- Extensive knowledge of wines, wine club operations, tasting Room management, and hospitality sales.
- Proven success increasing revenue, membership growth, and customer retention.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Experience managing multiple departments and cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and special events.
